
The “Passo da Caveira” from Casa Olivo, located in the south of Brazil, is much more than just a red wine. It is a tribute to an important part of the state’s history and a celebration of the bravery and determination of those who fought in the 1923 Revolution. The name has its roots in a passage of the 1923 Revolution that took place in Monte Alegre dos Campos, a small town in Rio Grande do Sul, at Capão da Caveira. The location where the vineyards of Vinícola Olivo now stand was the scene of intense battles during the revolution, depicted on this iconic label with the symbolism of the fierce battles in an enigmatic and intriguing atmosphere.




The vineyards of this winery are situated at an altitude of 1,033 meters above sea level, a location that produces a unique terroir, reflected in wines of the highest quality and potential. A project that evokes the historical greatness of this region that, over time, came to be affectionately called “Passo da Caveira,” in recognition of the courage of those who faced the challenges of the revolution in those lands.
