Maragato X Chimango is an iconic collection of unique wines from Bebber, a winery in the Altos Montes Region, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. What we call labels, could also be called frames of the culture of a people. A narrative that addresses the dispute, duality, the painful war between peoples with very similar principles and values, but politically divided. On the one hand, the Maragatos, a name at the time treated as pejorative, given to the army coming from the region colonized by migrants from Maragateria (Spain) that influenced the culture of the local land of the revolutionary exiles. On the other hand, the Chimangos, whose name is inspired by a bird of prey in the region, in this case also being used as a name that aimed to denigrate the opponent’s reputation. Opponents, who went to the battlefield, were distinguished by the color of their scarf: Maragatos, red and Chimangos, white. The label brings the duel as a central element, through the X of weapons, symbolizing in the background, embedded in a rustic and dense structure with typography and characteristics of a people who sought their ideals. The boleaderas, which were a hunting accessory and typical use of the peasant people’s life, are represented as a tribute to the local culture, positioned in the neck below the wax capsule that identifies the color of origin. The Project is also contemplated by the high quality content of iconic wines from extremely different vintages, which deliver powerful and high-end wines. May the best win.

Maragato X Chimango é uma coleção icônica de vinhos singulares da Bebber, vinícola da Região dos Altos Montes, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. O que chamamos de rótulos, também poderiam ser chamados de recortes da cultura de um povo. Uma narrativa que aborda a disputa, a dualidade, a dolorosa guerra entre povos de princípios e valores muito parecidos porém politicamente divididos. De um lado os Maragatos, nome na época tratado como pejorativo, dado ao exército advindo da região colonizada por migrantes de Maragateria (Espanha) que influenciou a cultura da terra local dos exilados revolucionários. Do outro lado os Chimangos, que tem seu nome inspirado em uma ave de rapina da região, neste caso também sendo utilizado como um nome que visava denegrir a reputação do adversário. Adversários, que em campo de guerra eram diferenciados pela cor do seu lenço: Maragatos, vermelhos e Chimangos, brancos. O rótulo traz o duelo como elemento central, através do X de armas, simbolizando ao fundo, cravado em uma estrutura rústica e densa com tipografias e características de um povo que buscava seus ideais. As boleadeiras, que eram um acessório de caça e de uso típico da vida do povo campeiro, foram representadas como homenagem à cultura local, posicionadas no gargalo abaixo da cápsula de cera que identifica a cor de procedência. O Projeto é contemplado também pelo alto teor de qualidade dos vinhos icônicos de safras extremamente distintas, que entregam vinhos potentes e de alta gama. Que vença, o melhor.
